Launched in the Fall of 2023, the Applied Leadership Academy is an annually-formed cohort of diverse industry veterans, working together to become the best version of their leadership selves.
You’re already an accomplished leader. This is a chance to soar, and strengthen leadership throughout our community.
Each month — for eight months — you and your Class3 Member cohort will attend a workshop exploring a theme (wellness, entrepreneurship, sustainability, design-thinking, etc). These workshops are led by ALA Fellows, who are Omaha-based leaders.
Monthly Sunday Nights | Members Only
Members gather at the Institute for the Culinary Arts on MCC's Fort Omaha Campus at 500P. There, Members share their work from the past month, and cook and eat together while completing 'Tasting Notes.'
Tasting Notes is a journal highlighting the principles of a book on leadership, and pairs the book with a film. Members watch the film through the lens of those leadership principles, and answer questions in the Tasting Notes journal to strengthen the learning and understanding of that leadership book.
After watching the movie to finish the Tasting Notes, Academy Members are invited to stay overnight in Fort Omaha Officers’ Quarters to be on campus and ready for Monday morning.
